Generally, students admitted to the program will need to:

• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.5–4.0 and a class rank in the top 15%
• Demonstrate that they’ve already taken a strong selection of college prep classes
• Be either a high school junior or senior

We’ll fully review your high school background to determine if you’re prepared for the classes you’d like to take in the PSEO Program.

It’s important that the courses you want to enroll in support your high school program. °ÄÃÅÌØÂ뿪½±¼Ç¼’s PSEO courses can usually meet some of your high school graduation requirements. Before you begin the process of selecting courses, you should discuss your academic needs and goals with your high school counselor.

Students applying for their first term as a PSEO student at °ÄÃÅÌØÂ뿪½±¼Ç¼ must complete and submit the following documents, which are also available for download in the next section:

• State registration form
• °ÄÃÅÌØÂ뿪½±¼Ç¼ PSEO application form, including a personal statement
• Official high school transcript(s)

Students returning for subsequent PSEO terms must complete their prior term course with a grade letter of C or above. To continue participating in the program, they should submit the following updated materials:

• Current/updatedÌýState registration formÌýfor the new term
• °ÄÃÅÌØÂ뿪½±¼Ç¼ PSEO Application Form (personal statement not required)
• Updated high school transcripts

Registration for PSEO courses is determined on a space-available basis. Admitted students will be notified about attending PSEO Orientation and Registration, during which class registration gets officially confirmed.

For courses in modern languages, please take the Language Placement Test before registering.

First-time students

High school juniors and seniors admitted to the PSEO can take one course for their first term at °ÄÃÅÌØÂ뿪½±¼Ç¼. Introductory-level (1000, 1200, 1300, etc.) coursework for the first semester is recommended, unless a student has demonstrated that they’ve completed sufficient prerequisite requirements to enroll in upper-division courses.

Returning students

We encourage students to return to °ÄÃÅÌØÂ뿪½±¼Ç¼ for additional PSEO semesters after their first semester. Returning students may be allowed to take two courses if their previous PSEO coursework and grades demonstrate exceptional achievement.

PSEO students are not eligible to enroll in First Year Seminar courses. Additional course restrictions may apply to certain thematic topics/disciplines, such as music/ensemble, religion, and courses with off-site service-learning experiences (i.e., study abroad). °ÄÃÅÌØÂ뿪½±¼Ç¼ does not offer a full-time PSEO Program.
